Trinity

So, Christians and Muslims believe that God is one but how this Oneness is explained moves the two great religions in different ways of interpretation.  For Christian theology we can talk about ‘The economy of God’.  God has revealed himself in three Persons as, Father the Creator, The Son as Redeemer and the Holy Spirit as Sanctifier.  This is a movement within perichoreses.  This does not mean three God and the Trinitarian Persons are One in Essence.  This is a very fine line to walk but it is the Biblical witness that was thrashed out at various councils of the Church.   Before moving onto the theology within these councils it is incumbent on us to look at the Biblical witness on the Trinity.

Last time we began to look at the opening of Genesis chapter 1. We learned that the elements which I believe came from nothing (ex nihilo), were the building blocks for the Lords big project of creation. These building blocks of matter are mentioned in many myths and legends from Egypt to Babylon. However, the Genesis account is a complete contrast to all of these other myths. Moses wrote in such a way that his account is completely different. The future...

I think this blog will be when I get an idea that I feel is important...  At the moment my other blog is about 1 corinthians... I made a set of videos about Corinth and I will be commenting on Corinth every day for the forceable future from the word press blog https://weaver1hasonline.international/ I have also been thinking about the Coronavirus and the effect of this plague is truly horrifying.  So many people have died or have loved ones in hospital...  I have been silent because no words can comfort those who have sufered and are suffering with this modern plague...  I don't understand but we can pray and follow the WHO's advice.  I pray that good will win in the end.  What lessons are we learning in this. If Jesus was unpopular with the leaders before this occasion, he is definitely less popular now: When Jesus had finished all these words, He said to His disciples, “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.” Matthew 26:1-2 Verse one, brings the woes section to an end and the effect of this was for the leaders to plan to kill Jesus in whatever way they could without getting into trouble with the Romans or getting the blame for starting a riot.   The disciples still did not grasp the seriousness of this situation that in a short period their Master our Lord was to be killed by the scheming of these leaders.
