The Miriamists continued.

The prophet of Islam who in his commercial enterprises travelled from the Arab Peninsula to Damascus and Aleppo became acquainted with the Miriamists.  He listened to the tenets of their religion and formed an idea.  The most regrettable formulation in his mind was to equate the Miriamists with the Christians.  Being illiterate according to Islamic legend he considered Jesus Christ an element in their teaching.  This opinion passed into the Quran.  The Muslim prophet, not having understood the true Persons of the Holy Trinity strayed to erroneous beliefs and practices.  Following the spread of Islam, the Miriamists this time embraced the Prophet’s religion, and their cult withered.  But the essence of this deviate teaching could not be wiped out.  It even influenced Islam considerably in its reverence of ‘Mother Mary’.

 If the Muslim chooses to study the evidences of objective history, he can delve into the depth of the encumbrances and misgivings which trouble him.  Quite likely they will evaporate, and the spring of heretical teachings will be exposed before his eyes.  When a religion is deprived of objective search and evidence the followers find themselves in perplexing quandaries, sailing in rough waters.”

Last time we began to look at the opening of Genesis chapter 1. We learned that the elements which I believe came from nothing (ex nihilo), were the building blocks for the Lords big project of creation. These building blocks of matter are mentioned in many myths and legends from Egypt to Babylon. However, the Genesis account is a complete contrast to all of these other myths. Moses wrote in such a way that his account is completely different. The future...

I made a set of videos about Corinth and I will be commenting on Corinth every day for the forceable future from the word press blog https://weaver1hasonline.international/ I have also been thinking about the Coronavirus and the effect of this plague is truly horrifying.  So many people have died or have loved ones in hospital...  I have been silent because no words can comfort those who have sufered and are suffering with this modern plague...  I don't understand but we can pray and follow the WHO's advice.  I pray that good will win in the end.  What lessons are we learning in this. If Jesus was unpopular with the leaders before this occasion, he is definitely less popular now: When Jesus had finished all these words, He said to His disciples, “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.” Matthew 26:1-2 Verse one, brings the woes section to an end and the effect of this was for the leaders to plan to kill Jesus in whatever way they could without getting into trouble with the Romans or getting the blame for starting a riot.   The disciples still did not grasp the seriousness of this situation that in a short period their Master our Lord was to be killed by the scheming of these leaders.
