So, my point of view is that here there is dialogue with Hinduism.  There is room for Monotheism.   I would like to know more of how Hindus reached this stage of understanding a Deity that is completely unknown.   It is interesting that Islam, Christianity and Judaism in the medieval period used Aristotle’s rational use of Metaphysics of the Unmoved Mover, to come to the conclusion of God.  In that sense Baghdad as a centre of learning for theologians was pretty impressive.  Here, the scholars had access to the rich Indian Hindu, Persian Zoroastrian and Christian traditions. Though unfortunately the main Christianity around Baghdad had a heretical view of God such as Monophysitism and another group.  Monophysytes believed that Jesus only had a divine nature and not a human nature.  This is a form of gnostic belief which is heretical.

Last time we began to look at the opening of Genesis chapter 1. We learned that the elements which I believe came from nothing (ex nihilo), were the building blocks for the Lords big project of creation. These building blocks of matter are mentioned in many myths and legends from Egypt to Babylon. However, the Genesis account is a complete contrast to all of these other myths. Moses wrote in such a way that his account is completely different. The future...

I made a set of videos about Corinth and I will be commenting on Corinth every day for the forceable future from the word press blog https://weaver1hasonline.international/ I have also been thinking about the Coronavirus and the effect of this plague is truly horrifying.  So many people have died or have loved ones in hospital...  I have been silent because no words can comfort those who have sufered and are suffering with this modern plague...  I don't understand but we can pray and follow the WHO's advice.  I pray that good will win in the end.  What lessons are we learning in this. If Jesus was unpopular with the leaders before this occasion, he is definitely less popular now: When Jesus had finished all these words, He said to His disciples, “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.” Matthew 26:1-2 Verse one, brings the woes section to an end and the effect of this was for the leaders to plan to kill Jesus in whatever way they could without getting into trouble with the Romans or getting the blame for starting a riot.   The disciples still did not grasp the seriousness of this situation that in a short period their Master our Lord was to be killed by the scheming of these leaders.
