The Holy Spirit is distinct from the Person of the Father and the Person of the Son. This is a mystery but is grasped by faith

So we have seen from the previous scriptures that the person of the Holy Spirit is distinct from the Person of the Father and the Person of the Son.  This was made clear at the baptism of Jesus.  We must be careful though so as to remember that God is one, not three gods.  This is a difficult concept to explain and actually it is a mystery and can only be grasped by faith.  My job at this juncture is not to jump to explain but to continue discussing the work of the Holy Spirit from the spadework Edward Henry Bickersteth shows us in his book the Trinity.
