1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 1 Timothy 4:1

 

We need to listen to God the Holy Spirit.  Being God, he knows everything.  So, there are false teachers out there.  Perhaps some of these can be also found in the Church and we need to differentiate.   The motivational speakers for example innocently could be giving us false information without realizing it themselves.  They want to encourage the believer but instead put heavy weights of guilt around a person’s neck (figuratively speaking).  What does the Bible say?  On such and such an issue and never take it for granted that one has the appropriate interpretation.  This is where prayer kicks in.  As well as reading our Bibles we have the privilege of prayer and God can help us discern.  When it comes to the future.  The Holy Spirit Knows everything but we don’t.  Over the years I have lots of fanciful and elaborate details, but these are hypotheses.  All we need to do is trust and obey.
