Revelation and Secularism
As we can see there is revelation in all the major and non-major religions
of the world. It is a concept that
whether a person accepts divinity or not many people in the world from all
sorts of backgrounds do. Even though God
through liberal education has been dislodged from the centre what has taken its
place?
On one level we can say secularism has taken its place. Or rather when there are many competing
ideologies it is supposed to create a level playing ground for
individualism. Secularism by its very
definition
‘Secularism, as defined in the Merriam-Webster
dictionary,[1] is "indifference to, or rejection or exclusion of, religion
and religious considerations". In certain contexts, the word can connote
anticlericalism, atheism, desire to exclude religion from social activities or
civic affairs, banishment of religious symbols from the public sphere, state
neutrality toward religion, the separation of religion from state, or
disestablishment (separation of church and state).’
